Hip-Hop heavyweights J Hus, Quavo and Rick Ross will perform in Dubai this week

BLU Dubai continues its run of stellar nightlife performances from the world’s biggest talents.

BLU Dubai continues to captivate the city’s nightlife scene with its run of celebrity shows. Bobby Shmurda, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Kanye West, M Huncho and YG have all performed at the venue in Al Habtoor City in recent weeks.

Continuing its run of stellar nightlife performances from the world’s biggest talents, the nightclub on the 32nd floor of V Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton will host performances from J Hus, Quavo and Rick Ross before the end of the year.

J Hus, real name Momodou Lamin Jallow, will perform on Wednesday, 27 December. The British rapper rose to fame in the mid-2010s as a pioneer of the Afroswing genre, a vibrant blend of Afrobeats, grime, and dancehall. He effortlessly switches between rapping, singing, and patois, weaving introspective lyrics about street life and love on tracks like Did You See and Who Told You, featuring Drake. He has collaborated with various artists, from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Burna Boy to Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, will take to the stage on Thursday, 28 December. The American rapper is known for his luxurious lifestyle, hustler anthems, and deep Southern drawl. He rose to fame in the early 2000s as a part of the Miami hip-hop scene, quickly gaining recognition for his raw delivery, vivid storytelling, and mafioso persona. Tracks like Aston Martin MusicGolden Roses, Maybach Music 2, Purple Lamborghini, and Stay Schemin’ have established him as a hustler’s poet, capturing the struggles and triumphs of the street with unflinching honesty. Rick Ross’ discography includes collaborations with Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Drake, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Usher, in a career that has seen the rapper release eleven studio albums to date.

Quavious Keyate Marshall, better known as Quavo, rose to fame as the frontman of the Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos. In 2013, their breakout hit, Versace, catapulted them into the mainstream. Quavo’s signature triplet flow, characterised by rapid-fire delivery of three syllables per beat, became a defining element of their sound. Migos racked up platinum certifications and spawned numerous chart-topping singles like Bad and Boujee, MotorSport, and Walk It Talk It. Quavo released his debut solo album in 2018, featuring collaborations with Drake, Lil’ Wayne and Travis Scott. Beyond music, Quavo has ventured into fashion, launching his own clothing line, Huncho Jack. He will perform an exclusive set in Dubai’s ultra-luxe VIP club on Friday, 29 December.

BLU Dubai offers views of the city skyline while combining opulent interiors with state-of-the-art technology to create a fully immersive VIP experience in a captivating, multi-level venue.

The nightclub is owned by BLU Hospitality, which recently opened BLU Oasis. The new venue on the outskirts of Dubai boasts a large outdoor club, restaurants and a pool overlooking the desert.
