The event takes place at Dubai Opera this November. 


Dubai is turning up the volume with Ministry of Sound Classical. The event takes place on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at Dubai Opera, showcasing dance music to the masses. Classic tunes are reimagined and rearranged by Ministry of Sound Classical Orchestra, and conducted by David Mahoney.

Ministry of Sound Classical has already taken place across the United Kingdom and Europe. The iconic locations include Alexandra Palace Park, Royal Albert Hall and Warwick Castle. The event celebrates dance anthems. 

Paired with a dazzling sound and light show, this one-off event reimagines dance hits into symphonic masterpieces, blending nostalgia with a fresh, unforgettable experience. Previous set lists boast 90s tracks including The Chemical Brothers’ Hey Boy Hey Girl, Dario G’s Sunchyme, Faithless’ Insomnia, Fatboy Slim’s Right Here, Right Now and more. The shows include thrilling sets with state-of-the-art production and lighting installations. Plus, guest vocalists and a full orchestra. 

David Mahoney hails from England, United Kingdom. He is a conductor, producer and creative director. He has previously worked with artists including Kerry Ellis and Pink Martini. He is the Principal Conductor of The Novello Orchestra and has appeared as a guest conductor with orchestras around the world. 

Ministry of Sound started life as a club, located in Elephant and Castle, London. In 1991, it opened and boasted sets from world-renowned DJs including David Morales, Paul Oakenfold and Roger Sanchez. Over the decades, it has expanded into a music publishing company and hosts events across the globe.
