Tyga’s gig at Zero Gravity has been rescheduled

The superstars keep arriving in Dubai.

This month, hip-hop enthusiasts in Dubai have every reason to celebrate as Central Cee, Rema and The Kid Laroi have graced stages across the city. Now, another rapper has been announced for a performance, with the arrival of Tyga at Zero Gravity in Dubai.

The American rapper was scheduled to perform on Friday, 19 April, but the show was called off due to unprecedented rainfall in the city. The show, which forms part of the venue’s Sundance series will now take place on Friday, 10 May.

Emerging from the streets of Compton, California, Tyga is a rapper who has navigated the hip-hop industry with a winning combination of hustle and catchy hooks. His performance at Zero Gravity follows hot on the heels of his 2023 show in the Middle East for the Gamers8 concerts in Riyadh. The rapper, who was originally part of the Young Money collective alongside Drake, Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj, rose to fame on the hit single Bedrock in 2009. In 2014, he dropped his debut album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, featuring the Chris Brown-assisted single Loyal, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He has since worked with Nicki Minaj on Dip It, Lil Wayne on Faded, and released a collaborative album with Chris Brown titled Fan Of A Fan in 2015.

The rapper has continued to release albums, including Kyoto and Legendary, exploring trap, dancehall, and even Latin influences, proving his willingness to experiment and evolve. His recent hits include Ayy Macarena, Sheikh Talk and Vacation.

Tucked amidst the glittering skyscrapers of Dubai, Zero Gravity is a beach club that has become a haven for thrill-seekers and luxury lovers. It offers a playground where a crystal-clear swimming pool meets breathtaking views of the city skyline and the shores of the Arabian Gulf.

If you’re after cool concerts, there are big stars coming to Dubai. Jason Derulo will perform in Dubai on 4 May. Blackstreet and Shaggy announced that they will also be headlining Coca-Cola Arena Dubai on 11 May. Expect the hit songs Boombastic, It Wasn’t Me and, of course, No Diggity.

Tickets to see Tyga at Zero Gravity in Dubai are on sale now via Platinumlist, starting from AED 199.
