Zara Larsson’s Global Village gig has been postponed

The pop star was set to take the stage this evening

Despite the ongoing flight chaos due to the recent bad weather, Zara Larsson arrived in Dubai ready to hit the stage at Global Village on 18 April. However, with Dubai residents urged to stay at home and to only use the roads if absolutely necessary, the concert has been postponed.

Zara Larsson, with her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, would have been sure to wow the crowd. From fan favourites like Lush Life and Never Forget You to hits such as Ruin My Life and Symphony, Larsson’s debut performance right in the middle of Global Village was set to be memorable.

The Swedish singer is expected to return to Dubai later this year, and a new date for the concert is still to be confirmed.

Larsson burst onto the music scene in 2015 with Lush Life and has been dominating the charts ever since. Her collaboration with David Guetta on Never Forget You and her anthem Can’t Be Tamed have further solidified her status as a pop powerhouse.

The Global Village performance in Dubai would have been Larsson’s first time in the UAE. Back in 2020, the singer was supposed to perform at the Mother of the Nation festival in Abu Dhabi; however, COVID-19 called for the cancellation of all major shows across the region.

Global Village is the UAE’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment. This year, it was wrapping up its 28th season by bringing Larsson to the stage.
