AQUA Water Bar by LUQEL: Inside Dubai’s first luxury water bar 

Located in Media City, it serves 30 different types of water to suit your mood.

Do you drink at least eight glasses a day? Well, AQUA Water Bar by LUQEL aims to make that easier, as it is Dubai’s first luxury water bar. Located in Media City, the menu boasts 30 different types of water, making you feel more hydrated. 

AQUA Water Bar by LUQEL boasts zen vibes, thanks to its minimalist aesthetic. What sets the brand apart is that the drinks do not contain harmful chemicals. Operated by German water filtration company LUQEL, the bar purifies and remineralises water. 

AQUA Water Bar by LUQEL’s menu has been created by water sommeliers, and has helpful names to suit your needs. The drinks range from the Kick Start with extra magnesium, to Natural Beauty with extra calcium, sulphate and magnesium. Plus, there is the Thirst Quencher, Runners Heaven, Meditate, Yoga and Recovery. Plus, teas and coffees are made using the special water.

AQUA Water Bar by LUQEL has also teamed up with Kitopi to offer healthy salads, sandwiches and snacks, which are gluten-free, vegan and vegetation. The drinks can be paired with vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish meals, and there are still and sparkling options.

The bar also provides refillable glass takeout bottles, and it will soon offer a delivery service. Look out for special events, which include taste challenges and giveaways. On 8 June from midday, it will offer complimentary snacks, tea and coffee. 

Roia Jabari, Managing Director of LUQEL UAE and AQUA Water Bar, explained: ‘We are so excited to launch the first ever gourmet water bar in the UAE and the first water bar for LUQEL. Our patented LUQEL water station not only purifies tap water but unique to the marketplace, we then remineralise the water to recreate a huge range of different water recipes formulated by our water sommeliers to suit all tastes. 

“We have all heard about the ‘forever chemicals’ in our water such as hormones that increase cancer risk, toxic metals that disrupt our DNA and micro and nano plastics. We ingest around a credit card’s worth of plastic (5g) from our food and drink weekly. Luqel´s reverse osmosis purification process removes all these nasties. The water is then re-enriched with natural mineral salts delivering 30 mineralised water recipes from a main supply using our patented technology.”

AQUA Water Bar is located in GO6 Loft Offices, Building 2 and is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.
