Cantonese restaurant China Tang is set to open at The Lana, Dorchester Collection
China Tang Dubai is expected to open this summer.
The first Dorchester Collection hotel in the Middle East has brought together blockbuster chefs, Insta-worthy views and the first Dior Spa in Dubai. Located in Business Bay, The Lana, Dorchester Collection is about to add another exciting dining destination to its culinary repertoire: China Tang Dubai.
Like its counterpart at The Dorchester Hotel in London, a branch of the upmarket Cantonese restaurant China Tang is expected to open at the waterfront property. According to a LinkedIn post, China Tang Dubai will open in the summer.
Renowned for offering some of the finest authentic Cantonese cuisine outside of China, Ching Tang has earned a well-deserved reputation for stellar service and exquisite presentation of traditional Chinese dishes. Established by businessman, philanthropist, and socialite Sir David Tang in 2005, China Tang evokes the seductive style of 1930s Shanghai through dining rooms stylishly adorned with quirky objets d’arts, plush banquettes, and ornate panelling.
From the tempting Dim Sum offerings to signature dishes like the succulent Char Siu, Ma Po Tofu, Yu Xiang Aubergine, and the perfectly bronzed Peking Duck, the China Tang menu showcases centuries of perfected recipes and celebrates the artistry of Chinese cuisine.
As we await further details on the opening, we do know that China Tang Dubai will be in good company at The Lana, Dorchester Collection. The hotel is already home to the modern Mediterranean restaurant, Riviera by Jean Imbert, Basque restaurant Jara from acclaimed chef Martín Berasategui and chef Angelo Musa’s Bonbon Café.
Spanning 30 floors, The Lana, Dorchester Collection is connected by a central podium, The Lana Promenade, and is home to 225 rooms and suites. Three more restaurant concepts for the property are still to be announced.
