Celebrated chef Dabiz Muñoz opens StreetXO in Dubai

Located in One&Only One Za’abeel, the menu fuses eastern and western influences.

MICHELIN magic is heading to Dubai. Spanish chef Dabiz Muñoz is behind three MICHELIN Starred restaurants. Now, he has opened StreetXO at One&Only One Za’abeel, fusing together eastern and western influences.  

Located on the fourth floor of the hotel, StreetXO in Dubai showcases Chef Dabiz’s creative cuisine. The menu aims to push the boundaries and features unexpected combinations, and a global fusion of flavours as well as techniques.

At StreetXO, the signature dishes include Pekinese Dumplings with crispy duck skin; Pedroche’s Croquettes with tuna sashimi; and XO Ramen with 48 hours of chicken stock. Plus, desserts range from Churros Con Chocolate to Fresas Con Nata Kakigori. 

StreetXO’s signature beverages include the Ceviche Sour with liquid ceviche, tequila, mezcal, fino sherry and infused vermouth; DiverXO Madrizzzz with gin, violet and coconut shrub; and Tom Kha Kai with tequila. 

The restaurant offers a vibrant dining experience. Guests arrive through a tunnel, and at the end is an artistic pendant light. Created by Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue, it depicts an acrobat carrying ceiling lights. The bar is covered in lava lamps and labyrinthine metal pipes hold the bottles. Plus, the terrace features sculptures and graffitied pillars.

Chef Dabiz holds an array of accolades. He hails from Madrid, Spain, and started cooking when he was a child. He previously worked at top restaurants including Hakassan and Nobu. The Best Chef Awards named him the Best Chef in the World for three years. 

He explains: “At StreetXO Dubai, we redefine dining with audacious creativity and unrestrained energy. Each dish is a global fusion; each space, is a theatre of surprises. Dubai is a very open-minded city for food, which makes it the perfect time for us to be here, bringing our unique style of dining to a new audience.” 

StreetXO in Dubai is open daily for dinner from 6pm to midnight.
