Colourful Indian restaurant Rang opens in Dubai Mall

The venue boasts views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains.

If you’re after a colourful night out, head to Rang in Dubai. The new restaurant has opened in Dubai Mall, and its name comes from the Hindi word for colour. Spanning indoor and outdoor seats, the venue boasts Insta-worthy views of the Burj Khalifa.

Rang in Dubai is located on level three of Dubai Mall. Visitors are greeted by staff saying namaste and led into a sleek space. The design includes navy and yellow seats, grey tables, terracotta tiles and plenty of potted plants. The outdoor seats are in a prime position, and overlook the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains.

Rang in Dubai’s menu spans starters, biriyanis, curries, tandoor and breads. The dishes come in colourful concoctions, and we spotted plates with the logo written out in curry sauce. Plus, the logo is emblazoned on coconuts.

The starters include Biriyani Balls with cheese and rice, Edamame with a spicy twist, and a Samosa Platter with three flavours. The biriyanis include a Butter Chicken Risotto, Shrimp Biriyani, and Truffle Mushroom Biriyani. The tandoor dishes include Classic Chicken Tikka, Lamb Sheekh Kebab, and Paneer Tikka. Plus, the curries include Dal Tadka, Malabari Mutton Curry, Rang’s Butter Chicken, and South Indian Coconut Curry.

Rang in Dubai also offers a selection of drinks. The mocktails range from a Kashmiri Mojito to Pomegranate Sangria, which is an Indian take on the cocktail. Plus, a Bollywood Lemongrass with lemon and lime, Namaste Mumbai with honey and vanilla, and Rangberries with berries.

Rang in Dubai is open daily from midday to 2am.
