FACT First Look: Acquasale by Cucina at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah

Located on Palm West Beach, we take a look inside the new Italian restaurant.

Acquasale by Cucina is bringing a touch of Italy to Dubai. Following the Italian restaurant Cucina’s one-year anniversary, it has expanded its offering with the new concept. Located in Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah on Palm West Beach, Acquasale by Cucina brings neighbourhood vibes to the city. 

Acquasale by Cucina is not just an extension of the FACT award winning Cucina. The venue describes itself as the little sister to Cucina, and aims to create its own unique experience. The restaurant’s name comes from the Italian dish Acquasale, which is made with crusty aged bread and tomatoes.

Acquasale by Cucina décor is rustic and romantic. Situated under olive trees and the twinkling of fairy lights, it’s a superb spot to enjoy food for two or in a group. The casual yet contemporary design includes shades of browns and beige, which are punctuated by pretty plants.

Acquasale by Cucina’s boasts a beautiful view, which overlooks Dubai Marina and Palm West Beach. Look out for the dough kitchen and woodfire oven, which fills the space with the smell of freshly baked pizzas. The textures range from exposed bricks to dark marble tops, which include wooden trays hanging decoratively on the outside. 

Chef Emanuele Rizzo, Cucina’s Chef de Cuisine said: “We wanted to create a space that captures the essence of a lively Italian piazza, dedicated the simple pleasures of pizza and spritz. Acquasale is a celebration of good food, good company, and that vibrant spirit that is now synonymous with our Cucina.”

The menu includes a selection of pizzas in one size. Classic options include the Buratta Mainara, Cacio e Pepe and Diavola. Creative options include the Apulia with wild broccoli, burrata cheese, anchovies and garlic, and the Tonno with smoked scarmorza, tuna belly, black olive paste, lemon zest and chives.

The Spritz Bar is a focus point for Acquasale by Cucina. The menu includes an extensive list of Spritz-based drinks, which start from AED 49. Crafted by skilled mixologists, the drinks include classic to creative including a Sicillian, Strawberry and Vanilla Spritz. Plus, there is a range of Italian wines and draught beers.

Acquasale by Cucina is open daily from 4pm till late.
