Farmacy in Dubai: London’s plant-based restaurant opens for COP28
The celebrity-loved brand launches a pop-up in Alserkal Avenue.
The world’s attention will be on the UAE for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP28. Now, London plant-based restaurant, Farmacy, has announced it is launching a pop-up. Located in Goals House in Alserkal Avenue, it will be open from 30 November to 6 December.
Farmacy was founded by Camilla Fayed. She is the daughter of the Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al Fayed, who famously once owned the luxury department store Harrods. She is also the sister of the film producer Dodi Al Fayed, who died tragically in a car accident with Princess Diana.
As Farmacy opens its pop-up in Dubai, it will also launch a new book, The Farmacy Manifesto on the Future of Food. Plus, it will host activist and scholar Dr Vandana Shiva at COP28 for World Soil Day on 5 December, which is part of a campaign to ensure food, agriculture and soil are at the forefront of the climate conversation.
COP28 will also welcome world leaders from politicians to royals. King Charles III will speak on 1 December and is expected to share his vision for the future. Pope Francis is also expected to attend between 1 and 3 December.
