MiMi Mei Fair is set to make its mark in Dubai

From the streets of London’s Mayfair to Downtown Dubai. 

Earlier today, we reported that MICHELIN-starred Jamavar will open in Downtown Dubai this winter. LSL Capital, the hospitality firm behind the launch, will also bring the upmarket Chinese concept MiMi Mei Fair with them from London to Dubai.

Although an opening date has yet to be officially announced, FACT has been told to expect the restaurant in early 2024. MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai will open after Jamavar and will be located directly next to the Indian restaurant in Downtown Dubai. Like its London counterpart, MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai will be designed by Tom Strother of Fabled Studio in collaboration with Samyukta Nair, the Co-Founder of LSL Capital, to create a bespoke culinary experience. 

MiMi Mei Fair opened in London’s Mayfair in 2021, instantly cementing its stature as one of the best Chinese restaurants in the UK capital. Inspired by the travels of the fictional Empress MiMi, the innovative dining experience explores China’s best-kept culinary secrets.

Judging by the London menu, we expect MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai to feature the restaurant’s signature Apple Wood-Fired Roasted Peking Duck, Wagyu Black Pepper Beef Baked Puff, Peking Duck Bao, Crispy Mandarin Beef and tempting dim sum selections.

The London location boasts several dining areas, lounges, private dining rooms and even a speakeasy known as the Moon Bar. We hope the extravagant decor and Shanghai chic vibes successfully transition to Dubai and look forward to the finished fit-out.
