New York diner 42 Midtown opens its doors in Zabeel House The Greens

The menu serves steaks, pizzas and hot dogs.

Get ready for a taste of the Big Apple in the City of Gold. Zabeel House The Greens has opened a new restaurant and bar, 42 Midtown. Bringing the flavours of New York to Dubai, the modern hotspot serves lunch, dinner and drinks. 

42 Midtown boasts a sleek, sophisticated look. The décor draws its inspiration from the Art Deco era, and includes a marble bar, semi-circular booths and a year-round terrace. The shades span light to dark browns, which are punctuated by plenty of plants. Plus, at the heart of the venue is a woodfire oven.

42 Midtown’s Head Chef Fabrizio Vermiglio is behind the carefully crafted menu, which blends New York flavours with soulful European flair. The menu includes starters that are great for sharing: Charred Pulpo, Mini Hot Dogs and State Island Crab Croquette. The mains include artisan pizzas, which include the Burrata and Four Cheeses, Napoli and Truffle pizza. 

The grilled meats include the 12-Hour Smoked Brisket, 42 Midtown BBQ Short Ribs and New York Sirloin Steak. Plus, the desserts include the Nutella and Banana S’more Pizza and the NYC Skyscraper Sundae.

Fabrizio explained: “I am very excited to bring the cosmopolitan style of New York to Dubai. I am hugely passionate about food and I am thrilled that we have been able to develop a menu centred around the classics of the multicultural New York cuisine, to deliver exciting offerings throughout the week and bring something for guests of all tastes.”

Bar Manager Edward Lance is behind the drink’s menu, which include an exciting line-up of cocktails. The menu is inspired by the book, Memoirs of a Nomad, which is about travelling to New York. Each cocktail is inspired by the city, from the Prohibition Negroni that is an ode to jazz, to the Caramel Macchiato that is influenced by coffee culture. 

Throughout the week, 42 Midtown hosts special events. Look out for live music nights every Thursday from 8pm. Plus, there is a Business Lunch during the week, and Ladies’ Night on Tuesdays.

42 Midtown is open now, located on P2 Level of Onyx Tower 2.
