Russian restaurant Chaihona No 1 by Vasilchuki is opening in Dubai Marina

The menu includes Eastern European influences.

The Russian restaurant chain Chaihona No 1 by Vasilchuki is making its debut in the UAE. The concept will be coming to Dubai Marina Walk, offering Insta-worthy views of luxury yachts, waterways and buildings.

Vasilchuki Restaurant Group is behind Chaihona No 1 by Vasilchuki. The group was founded by Alexey and Dmitry Vasilchuk, and it has more than 120 projects around the world. Chaihona No 1 by Vasilchuki is the group’s flagship restaurant. Over its 20-year history, it has opened 40 venues, which can be found from Baku, Azerbaijan to Moscow, Russia. The brand’s chef is Sergei Sushchenko – he has worked with the company since 2001, and conducts masterclass chef’s tables at the restaurant in Moscow.

Chaihona means “room for tea” in Chinese and refers to tea houses. The space looks set to be more than just a restaurant, as other venues around the world host concerts, DJs and masterclasses.

Chaihona No 1 by Vasilchuki’s menu boasts Russian-inspired dishes which fuse Eastern European influences. If previous menus are anything to by, there will be an extensive range of dishes. The menu includes spreads, salads, snacks, shawarma, soups and dessert. Plus, baked and fried dishes.

The salads include a Caesar Salad with Chicken, Fresh Vegetable Salad and Greek Salad. The shawarma wraps include chicken, lamb and veal. The fried dishes include Cheburek with Lamb, Piccia with Cheese and Piccia with Lamb. The soups include Homemade Borscht, Meat Solyanka with Smoked Meats and Pumpkin Soup. Plus, the desserts include Carrot Cake, Homemade Baklava and Lemon Pie.
