The world’s biggest beach club will open at J1 Beach.
Chef Izu Ani proves to be unstoppable when it comes to restaurants. He has expanded homegrown hospitality hit GAIA to London, Marbella, Monaco, and soon Miami. Now, he will be breaking records, and opening the world’s biggest beach club. Located at J1 Beach in Dubai, Sirene Beach by GAIA oozes laidback luxury and is set to open in December.
Fundamental Hospitality is behind the launch, which sees Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu collaborating again. Located in the new J1 Beach development (previously La Mer), the site will span 9,000 square metres. The beachfront venue is now accepting reservations for dining, beach sunbeds (from AED 400 per person), pool sunbeds (from AED 500 per person) and cabanas (from AED 7,500) from Friday, 3 January 2025.
Inspired by Greek mythology, “Sirene” embodies the allure of the legendary Sirenes—enchanting figures known for their beauty and mesmerising voices. With seating for 400 in the restaurant, a beachfront boasting 300 sunbeds, luxurious private cabanas, and a terraced flow from dining spaces to the beach, Sirene creates a seamless experience where guests can relax and unwind, accompanied by curated beats from the resident DJ throughout the day.
At the heart of Sirene is a menu that captures the essence of the Aegean. Rooted in GAIA’s renowned culinary expertise, the dishes feature the freshest ingredients, traditional techniques, and flavours that echo the simplicity of Mediterranean cuisine. The menu offers a rich selection of fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables, perfect for both a leisurely lunch on the sun deck or a romantic dinner under the stars.
Chef Izu Ani said: “Sirene is a place that we wanted to create for our guests to enjoy their day as if they were on holiday, even if it’s just for a few hours. Living in the middle of life’s fast-paced environment, we all need moments of escape, a space where time slows down, and transport you to another reality—a place where you can relax and recharge.
Sirene Beach by GAIA is an expansion of the GAIA brand. The beach club will offer a gourmet dining experience, and the menu will boast Greek Mediterranean flavours. If Chef Izu’s previous restaurants are anything to go by, Dubai diners are in for a treat. GAIA is one of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in Dubai. Not only is it a multiple FACT Dining Award Dubai winner, but it was ranked at number 17 on Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023.
Fundamental Hospitality has plenty of fans, from the FACT team to Dubai’s royal family. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, have been spotted at the team’s Alaya, GAIA and Shanghai Me. They have also recently opened Adaline, a no photos dinner show in DIFC.
J1 Beach is home to 13 licensed beachfront venues, from internationally acclaimed restaurants to new concepts. The options include African Queen, Almayass By The Sea, Bâoli, Chouchou, Gigi Rigolatto, GITANO, La Baia, Lúnico and Sakhalin.
