The acclaimed brand is set to open TakaHisa Downtown on Saturday, 13 December, introducing a sophisticated city hideaway that reflects its commitment to craft, quality and quiet luxury.
Set on the 4th floor of Volante 1, a residential tower in Downtown Dubai, TakaHisa Downtown feels removed from the pace of the streets below. Guests step into a calm space where Japanese culinary artistry meets elevated urban living. From every table, diners enjoy panoramic views of the Dubai Canal and the Burj Khalifa, creating a cinematic backdrop for a memorable meal.
The design balances Japanese minimalism with Dubai’s taste for refined comfort. Inside, warm textures, natural tones and plush seating create a serene dining room anchored by an intimate bar. Outside, the experience extends onto a beautifully styled lounge terrace. To preserve this sense of tranquillity and discretion, TakaHisa Downtown operates by reservation only.
TakaHisa’s reputation is already firmly established through its flagship restaurant at Banyan Tree Dubai. The original location has earned a global following for its mastery of premium Wagyu and superb sushi, sourced from Japan’s Toyosu Market and crafted with meticulous Japanese technique.
With TakaHisa Downtown, the brand expands its vision. At launch, the new restaurant will focus on à la carte dining, allowing guests to explore its dishes at their own pace. This opening chapter will soon evolve, with TakaHisa preparing to introduce new concepts that are exclusive to this address.
One of the venue’s most distinctive highlights will be its Japanese breakfast, featuring grilled Japanese fish, Japanese-style eggs, miso soup and rice, evoking the nostalgic comfort of a traditional breakfast in Japan.
