The new spot will be located in the heart of Alserkal Avenue.
FACT Dining Award winner 21grams has made its mark in Dubai. The brand is renowned for its Balkan-inspired dishes, and it is now expanding with the opening of a pie shop and café. Piehaus will launch in the heart of Alserkal Avenue. The exact date has not yet been confirmed, but here’s what you need to know.
Piehaus is a speciality pie and coffee shop. The tagline for the brand is “works of the heart”. The full menu has not yet been announced, but we’re expecting statement-worthy creations. So far, we know it will feature Balkan-inspired pies and coffee.

On Instagram, the Piehaus team has been teasing diners about what to expect. On the grid, they have shared brown squares with the caption “soon”. The team is also launching a catering and design space called Etar. The experience will offer catering services, tablescaping, and more food-related fun.
The FACT Dining Award Dubai winner, 21grams, is loved for its Balkan dishes and drinks. The café has a loyal fan base among both the community and critics – including the FACT Editor-in-Chief. Located on the second floor of Meyan Mall in Umm Suqeim, the café opened in January 2018 and has since made a name for itself in Dubai.
21grams prides itself on being a relaxed, all-day dining venue. The menu features a selection of handmade dishes and pastries, crafted with ingredients sourced from local farmers. The Balkan-inspired options range from Breaded Chicken Schnitzel to Pljeskavica.
We’d recommend coming for coffee but staying for the soul food.
