If there is one thing FACT has always taken seriously, and happily eaten its way through, it is the region’s dining scene. We have sat at tables in fine-dining rooms, championed homegrown gems, and celebrated the best of the best at the FACT Dining Awards. Now, we are closing the year with something new, playful and very edible with Blu Pizzeriá.
What’s cooking?
For the very first time, FACT has teamed up with award-winning Blu Pizzeriá and powerhouse Emirati talent, Chef Faisal, to launch a limited-edition pizza: the FACT pizza by Chef Faisal. After years of reviewing menus, FACT finally has a slice of its own.
Why this collaboration?
This collaboration is more than piling toppings on dough. It is a three-way fusion of what each name represents. Chef Faisal brings his Emirati flair, layering regional comfort and heritage into modern dishes. Blu Pizzeriá adds its creative, boundary-pushing approach to pizza, with flavour combinations and artisan techniques that stand out in a crowded scene. FACT contributes its energetic, culturally rooted perspective, and a love of food with personality and a little kick. The result is a pizza that feels familiar, bold and fresh all at once.
What is the slice like?
The FACT pizza by Chef Faisal takes inspiration from the beloved lahmajun. Traditionally topped with minced meat, tomatoes, peppers and herbs, lahmajun is a staple across the region. Working closely with FACT, Chef Faisal has reimagined it for Blu Pizzeriá’s menu. Lamb takes centre stage, layered over Blu’s signature tomato base, then finished with cheese for extra indulgence, and a generous drizzle of pomegranate molasses that adds a sweet, tangy, regional twist. The flavour profile is fiery yet approachable, sweet yet grounded, familiar yet surprisingly new. It is the sort of pizza that makes you reach for another slice before you have finished the first.
Meet the makers
Chef Faisal needs little introduction. As the culinary mind behind Lento, he has become one of the region’s most recognisable chefs, known for pushing boundaries while staying closely connected to his Emirati roots. His approach blends comfort flavours with contemporary technique and always tells a story on the plate.
Blu Pizzeriá, meanwhile, has built a reputation for doing pizza differently. What began as a homegrown concept has grown into one of the UAE’s most exciting pizza spots. A FACT award winner, Blu takes risks, plays with regional ingredients, and constantly innovates, making it the ideal partner for a one-of-a-kind creation like this.
