The concept has been created by SHI Hospitality.
Jumeirah Mina Al Salam in Dubai is home to a range of restaurants, bars and cafés. Now, the luxury hotel is set to welcome a new venue, MEI. The concept, created by SHI Hospitality, will showcase Asian cuisine.
Jumeirah Mina Al Salam will be home to MEI, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, along with iconic views of the Burj Al Arab. The symbol of the restaurant is a bird, which features across its teaser images and videos.

Guests enter through grand pivot doors into a space defined by abstract murals, detailed woodwork, and a soft, golden glow. An expansive terrace seats 120 with views of Burj Al Arab, while the dining room holds 137, and a 14-seat bar sets the evening’s rhythm.
The menu blends Chinese and Japanese influences, striking a balance between heritage and innovation. A robata grill anchors the kitchen, featuring premium meats and seafood, alongside wok-fired favourites. The Japanese section highlights a direct partnership with Toyosu Fish Market, offering sashimi, maki, and seasonal specials in Dubai. Dim sum, clay pots, and signature duck dishes round out the culinary lineup.

“MEI was created as a space that grows with the evening. We wanted to capture the poetry of dining, the way flavours, sounds, and moments unfold when shared with others. MEI is about connection: between tradition and modernity, between the calm of dinner and the energy of night, between a space and the people who bring it to life,” says Diana Rysbaeva, Founder & CEO of SHI Hospitality Group.

Jumeirah Mina Al Salam in Dubai is also home to the international concept Al Samar Lounge, the French spot Margaux, the Greek restaurant Shimmers, and the Mexican restaurant Tortuga. Plus, the hotel includes 292 guest rooms and suites.
