The latest concept from Outset creates a cosy, community-driven space.

Dubai may be known for its glitz and glamour, but sometimes the most memorable meals come without the fanfare. Enter Oppidan, a charming new addition to Jumeirah’s dining landscape from the team behind Terra Eatery. Founder Rashed Al Tayer of Outset’s latest concept reinvents the Italian-inspired dining experience by offering home-style food and elevated classic dishes served in a space that feels like home. Housed in a lovingly converted villa in Jumeirah 3, the restaurant offers an intimate, home-style experience.

Stepping inside, guests are greeted by warm, rustic interiors that blend white terracotta tiles with wooden accents, steel fixtures, and inviting lounge-style seating. The atmosphere is softened by natural light pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows and a leafy garden terrace that feels more like your friend’s backyard than a typical restaurant terrace.

At the heart of Oppidan is its open kitchen, a lively space where handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas and hearty mains are crafted with care and simplicity. The menu favours unfussy, flavour-forward dishes such as Beetroot Salad, Crispy Mushroom Arancini, Fettuccine Ragu and a standout Chicken Milanese. Don’t leave without trying the Burnt Pistachio Cheesecake, best paired with a robust espresso.

With its community-focused ethos and unfussy charm, Oppidan delivers a place to slow down, savour each bite, and feel right at home.
