At a time when the Middle East is leaning on togetherness and supporting homegrown talent, HANU and FACT award-winning TakaHisa are joining forces for an intimate dinner.
In moments of uncertainty, people often return to what feels close to home: community, comfort and the places that help shape a city’s cultural identity. In Dubai, that spirit is increasingly carried by homegrown restaurant concepts that understand dining is as much about the culinary as it is about connection, creativity, and showing up for one another. On 30 March 2026, HANU and TakaHisa will come together for a one-night-only Dubai omakase celebrating shared values, serious technique, and a collective commitment to craft.
Set within HANU at St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, the dinner pairs a rising force in contemporary Korean cuisine with one of Dubai’s most acclaimed Japanese restaurants. HANU has quickly made its mark with a modern take on Korean dining, blending traditional cooking methods with contemporary presentation and private table grilling. The concept was created by Seoul-born Chef Kyung Soo Moon, whose career spans more than two decades and several of Asia’s most respected dining rooms. His culinary story began at home, shaped by his mother’s cooking and the warmth of a family kitchen, before evolving through years of work across fine dining and contemporary Japanese restaurants in Japan, Singapore and Australia.

Meanwhile, TakaHisa has built its legacy on immaculate omakase, exceptional seafood and A5 Wagyu handled with deep technical precision. Led by Wagyu Master Chef Hisao Ueda and Sushi Master Chef Takashi Namekata, TakaHisa has earned recognition as Best Japanese Fine Dining restaurant at the FACT Dining Awards Dubai 2025.
For one night, those two worlds will meet across a 12-course menu shaped by Korean expression and Japanese precision. Guests will enjoy HANU’s Anjusang welcome snack and seasonal vegetable course, followed by TakaHisa’s signature Awabi, HANU’s Jeju Mandarin Ceviche and Jeon selection, a four-kind TakaHisa sushi omakase, Korean-style kimbap, a collaborative beef course featuring Ozaki Beef and Korean Hanwoo, Acorn Noodles with Fresh Truffle, and HANU’s dessert finale. The dinner will take place in a single 7pm seating for just 10 guests, priced at AED 1,850 per person, excluding drinks.

In a region looking to strengthen its sense of community, collaborations like this matter. HANU and TakaHisa are showing what happens when two Dubai success stories back each other, share their stories and create something memorable together.
