Everything we know about The Lana, Dorchester Collection 

The luxury hotel is home to blockbuster chefs, Insta-worthy views and a Dior Spa.

As the Dorchester Collection opens its first hotel in the Middle East, it has bought together blockbuster chefs, Insta-worthy views and the first Dior spa in Dubai. Located in Business Bay, The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai overlooks and Burj Khalifa and Marasi Bay marina.

President of Dorchester Collection, Christopher Cowdray, explained: “As Dorchester Collection welcomes its first guests in the Middle East, we are entering a new era in our company history. The Lana is one of the year’s most anticipated hotel openings, and we are certain it will be celebrated for its remarkable design, superb location in one of the world’s most vibrant cities and a dining scene that will undoubtedly attract much local and international attention.”

Rooms and suites 

The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai has been created by the British architectural firm, Foster + Partners. The interiors have been designed by the French design duo, Gilles & Boissier. The architects took inspiration from Dubai’s skyline, and the designers brought a modern and minimalist aesthetic to the hotel. 

The Lana, Dorchester Collection boasts a sleek, stunning structure. Spanning 30 floors, the building is connected by a central podium, The Lana Promenade. Plus, the hotel is home to 225 rooms and suites. 

The signature suites include the Marina Duplex and Marina Terrace Suite, which have a duplex layout, double height living room, and outdoor terraces spanning two levels. The Marina Royal Suite boasts a balcony along the length of the building, and views of the Burj Khalifa. The Lana Royal Suite is located on the corner of the building. 

Restaurants and bars 

Chefs Angelo Musa, Jean Imbert and Martín Berasategui have brought their MICHELIN magic to Dubai. The Lana, Dorchester Collection is home to eight new dining concepts, and four have been created with the three celebrated chefs. 

Jean is behind the modern Mediterranean restaurant, Riviera. Martín is behind the Basque restaurant, Jara. Angelo is behind the Parisian restaurant, Bonbon Café. The restaurants also include the open-air Veranda with tapas and international cuisine, and The Gallery with afternoon tea and pasties. Plus, Txakolina offers everything from Cuban cigars to vinyl records, and Bitter Honey is a bar located in the lobby. 

Spa and facilities 

The Lana, Dorchester Collection will bring the first Dior Spa to the UAE. Opening in April, it will be located on the 29th floor of the hotel. Visitors can choose from five treatment rooms and a couple’s suite. 

The Dior Spa The Lana prides itself on using cutting-edge technology across its treatments. The signature treatments include Escale at The Lana, Dior Stone Therapy and D-Sculpt. Other treatments include the Dior Micro-Abrasion, Icoone Therapy and Hydrafacial.
