With its intimate villas and private pools, it’s the perfect property to explore this season.

Summer is a fantastic time to travel and escape the heat. But if hopping on a flight isn’t part of your plans, the UAE still has plenty to offer. One property that should be on your radar this season is The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach.

Located just over an hour from Dubai, The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach, is set along the Arabian Gulf. While it’s secluded and serene, it’s easily accessible by car, making it an ideal destination for a spontaneous weekend getaway.

From the moment you arrive, the property has a laid-back yet luxurious vibe. The check-in lobby is intimate and low-key, ensuring you won’t be stuck waiting indoors and can instead unwind straight away. The resort features 32 private villas, each with its own temperature-controlled pool, shaded outdoor lounging space, and direct beach access. This intimate number ensures exclusivity, space, and privacy.

After a buggy ride through green-lined pathways, FACT checked into one of their Al Bahar Villas. We were welcomed with a display of leaf art on the bed, a bouquet, framed photos, and a plush lion waiting for the five-year-old accompanying us, who wasted no time in claiming it his own. Sunhats were laid out for the grown-ups. These thoughtful touches instantly made it feel like home.

The interiors blend raw textures with elevated finishes. The ceiling, with its tented hut design and chandeliers, adds a rustic yet luxe vibe. Wooden and tiled floors, soft beige and white tones, and geometric accents on the wardrobes and headboard add a touch of Arabian elegance. A canopy-draped king bed takes centre stage, framed by white linen.

To the left, a custom wooden wardrobe cleverly doubles as a partition, dividing the bedroom from the dressing and bathroom areas. This open-plan layout features a double vanity topped with Diptyque amenities, under a gold-framed mirror with backlighting. On either side of the vanity are separate areas for the shower and toilet, maintaining privacy.

Back in the room, a vintage-style writing desk and director’s chair sit next to a wall. And in front of the bed is a multi-use TV console that cleverly flips to face the living area. Here, a large, cushioned daybed invites you to curl up with a book or simply relax while listening to music on your AirPods. A stocked mini-bar and tea and coffee station take up space elsewhere.

Step outside your tented hut and you’ll find a terrace with a private pool, shaded dining area, a cabana for afternoon naps, and a jacuzzi tub with an open-air shower behind it. Further along, a romantic, more exclusive cabana framed by thick greenery offers an intimate setting for evenings under the stars.

Passing through this, you’ll get direct access to The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach’s private beach. The view is calm until you look further out and spot the Wynn Al Marjan Island rising out of the ocean like the lost city of Atlantis. Upon your return to your villa, you’ll notice a foot-washing station to rinse off before heading back indoors.
