Dubai’s hotel scene is getting another international name. The Hoxton is making its Middle East debut in Dubai Media City, marking the lifestyle brand’s first opening in the UAE.
Ennismore has partnered with Select Group for the project, which will transform an existing building through a multi-million-dirham redevelopment rather than constructing a hotel from the ground up. Once complete, The Hoxton Dubai Media City will feature 230 rooms designed by Ennismore’s in-house creative team, AIME Studios.

The Hoxton started life in Shoreditch in 2006 and has since expanded to cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Rome and Vienna. Its hotels are known for their neighbourhood-first approach, lively lobbies and social spaces that blur the lines between hotel, restaurant, workplace and community hub.
That formula will be adapted for Dubai Media City, with the hotel aiming to connect with the neighbourhood’s community of creatives, entrepreneurs and media professionals. Cultural programming, collaborations, pop-ups and activations will also form part of the experience.

Food and drink will play a significant role. Curated by Paris Society, the hotel’s dining collection will introduce two new concepts to Dubai. Onaka is a Japanese handroll bar created in collaboration with French restaurateur Moïse Sfez, while Bleachers will take the form of a social sports bar inspired by game-day culture.
They will be joined by Il Bambini Club, Paris Society’s lively Italian trattoria with an open kitchen, alongside Tope, The Hoxton’s signature rooftop concept. Already found at Hoxton hotels in Barcelona, Portland and Brussels, Tope serves Mexican-inspired dishes and cocktails from a rooftop setting.

The biggest talking point, however, is wellness. The Hoxton Dubai Media City will introduce the first dedicated Hoxton wellness club anywhere in the world. Designed as much for socialising as exercising, the club will feature a large gym floor, movement studios, spa treatment rooms and contrast therapy facilities. A members’ lounge will provide space to relax between sessions, while Beaum, a healthy café concept, will complete the offering.
Importantly, the wellness club is not being conceived solely as a hotel amenity. The Hoxton plans for it to become a destination for guests, members and Dubai residents, combining fitness, recovery and socialising within one space.
