Aether’s sultry speakeasy opens at W Dubai – The Palm

Enjoy creative cocktails and cool music.

Sssh, we’ve got a secret. A new speakeasy, Aether, has opened at W Dubai – The Palm. Located just off the lobby inside the five-star hotel, the venue sets the mood with its sultry and sophisticated design. So, if you’re after cocktails, music and old-school charm, here’s what you need to know.

Aether in W Dubai – The Palm draws its inspiration from the four elements: air, earth, fire and water. The bar describes itself as the fifth element, which is inspired by the forces that shape the world. Take your pick from plush red seats around tables, and shiny high stools by the bar. The dim lighing sets the seductive tone, and there is live music to keep you entertained.

Aether in W Dubai – The Palm’s menu includes cocktails inspired by the elements, and a range of bar bites. The Parachute Youth is an ode to air, and mixes rum with caramel, citrus, lavender and yuzu. The Espressioni is an ode to fire, and fuses Campari coffee, chocolate, gin and vermouth.

The soundtrack for each night has been curated by the hotel’s in-house music curator, and ranges from live DJs to jazz musicians. From Sunday to Wednesday, the set includes the soothing beats of Bossa Nova. On Thursday, the set is more vibrant with jazz. From Friday to Saturday, the venue really gets into the party spirit and spans funk, disco and soul.

W Dubai – The Palm is also home to a range of restaurants. The MICHELIN Starred Italian restaurant Torno Sobito has been created by Massimo Bottura. The Japanese restaurant Akira Back has been created by (and is named after) the critically acclaimed chef. Plus, the newly opened BCH:CLB is the place for sun, sand and to top up your tan.

Aether in W Dubai – The Palm is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm to 1am, and Friday to Saturday from 6pm to 2am.
