The fashion house will debut its first residential development on Palm Jumeirah in March 2028.
Maison Margiela is stepping from the runway into real estate with the launch of its first-ever branded residences on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The French fashion house has announced Maison Margiela Residences, an exclusive development created in partnership with Alta Real Estate Development, with a planned opening in March 2028. The project brings the brand’s avant-garde sensibility into a new arena, blending high fashion, design and architecture in one luxe address.
Known for its conceptual approach and transformative vision, Maison Margiela is translating its fashion codes into a residential language. The Palm Jumeirah project will feature 25 one-of-a-kind homes, each designed in collaboration with Italian architect Carlo Colombo. Renowned for his work across furniture and product design, Colombo’s portfolio spans everything from lamps and beds to tables and seating, making him a natural fit for a project that places materiality and detail at its core.

Every residence will be curated as a complete Maison Margiela environment. Custom-made furniture, lighting, and beds will be integrated into each home. The interiors will showcase distinctive finishes that echo the house’s signature aesthetic, including white resin-filled surfaces, travertine and gold accents. The result is a tactile, layered atmosphere that feels both contemporary and luxurious.
Beyond the private residences, the development has been designed as a cultural and lifestyle destination for its owners. Residents will enjoy access to a private art gallery, spa, fitness studios and additional amenities that reflect the brand’s refined yet experimental spirit.

Maison Margiela Residences in Dubai also marks a key milestone in the brand’s Middle Eastern strategy. The company is expanding its footprint across the region with new boutiques and lifestyle concepts tailored to local audiences. The residential launch coincides with the opening of the new Maison Margiela Cafe in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, introducing another immersive way for guests to experience the brand’s world.
This is not Maison Margiela’s first foray into interiors. The house has previously collaborated with wallpaper specialist Omexco and designed the interiors of a bespoke suite at Les Sources de Caudalie near Bordeaux. The Dubai residences build on this foundation, scaling the brand’s design philosophy into full-time homes for collectors and design-led buyers.
