Visit the newly-opened VNYL Hi-Fi

Dubai is turning up the volume, and this new venue from the team behind Surf Club is one of our dining picks of the week. VNYL Hi-Fi has brought a bar, recording studio and creative hub to Bluewaters Island, and includes disco balls, low lighting and 1970s-esque wallpaper with bright colours and swirling patterns. Plus, guests can sit at long banquettes with tables, which are great for groups, and tuck into a Pan Asian menu and creative cocktails.

Indulge in a hot chocolate scrub

Head over to the Lush Spa, located in Mirdiff City Centre for a 60-minute escape to try their latest treatment called The Comforter. As part of this treatment, you’ll step into a pink, starlit room, where a hot chocolate body scrub will be applied all over. It’s like getting a mud bath but in chocolate. The granules from the hot chocolate are massaged into your skin — head to toe — leaving it soft. The treatment is then followed by an application of rose serum infused with tamarind and lime, which is guaranteed to make you feel relaxed.

Camp in the rainforest

The Green Planet isn’t simply home to over 3,000 plants and animals. It’s also a go-to destination for unique and unexpected experiences offered amidst an indoor ecosystem – rainforest camping and snorkelling with piranhas included. Spend the night in one of The Green Planet’s comfortable tents and you’ll discover the rainforest’s enchantments with a nocturnal animal tour and a BBQ dinner at The Green Planet’s Café – complete with roasting marshmallows and a nature-themed movie – before falling asleep under the biodome stars to the songs of the rainforest’s exotic birds. Available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Prices start from AED 850 for two adults in the regular tent, while group bookings can be made at AED 1,650 for a party of four in the large tent.
