The Women’s Empowerment Convention welcomes inspiring speakers. 

Fashion’s finest are strutting into Dubai. The Women’s Empowerment Convention will take place on 1 and 2 November at Atlantis The Royal, Dubai. The event brings together more than 100 speakers, including Anna Wintour, Global Editorial Director of Vogue, and Candace Bushnell, writer of Sex and the City.

The Women’s Empowerment Convention has been organised by the Women’s Empowerment Council. It is expected to attract over 2,000 attendees and will feature speakers, themed workshops, and networking opportunities. This year’s theme is All In: Career, Money and Life. The event will focus on how financial independence influences women’s lives and explore the paths to achieving that independence.

Anna Wintour has led American Vogue for more than 37 years. She serves as the Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, a trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and chairs the annual Met Gala. This marks Anna’s second visit to Dubai, following her first visit in January 2025. 

Candace is an author, journalist, and television producer. She is the creator of the Sex and the City columns, which were originally published in the New York Observer. She went on to write a best-selling book that inspired the Emmy-winning HBO series starring Sarah Jessica Parker.

Other speakers include Dr Maky Zanganeh, CEO and President of Summit Therapeutics; Svetlana Kuznetsova, Grand Slam tennis champion and fashion designer; and HE Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

We no longer need to choose between professional success, financial freedom, or personal fulfilment – we can claim them all with clarity and purpose. At the WE Convention, guests will be inspired by women who’ve redefined what’s possible and leave equipped with bold, actionable strategies to lead, earn, and live entirely on their own terms.”
