The team behind Habibi Skate Shop is opening a new indoor skateboarding park, pairing a purpose-built skate space with a café, merch, and a community-first mindset.
Dubai’s skateboarding scene is about to gain a fresh new home. The team behind Habibi Skate Shop is set to open Gooder Skateboarding, an indoor skate park and café concept landing inside the creative heart of Alserkal Avenue. Designed as a place where skaters can ride year-round, the space is positioning itself as a dedicated hub for Dubai’s growing community.
Gooder Skateboarding is more than a few ramps under a roof. The concept has been shaped around inclusivity, offering a welcoming environment where regulars, beginners, and curious newcomers can all feel part of the same orbit. For skaters, it’s a climate-proof park built for progression, practice, and sessions that don’t stop when the temperature climbs. For anyone else, it’s a social space with a café and a welcoming atmosphere.
The café is expected to be a highlight, with earthy interiors and design-led details, combining olive-green tiling with dark wood finishes and references to Moroccan riads. A central fountain is planned to anchor the room, bringing a courtyard energy that blurs the line between indoors and out. Around it, an abundance of house plants softens the space and frame the skating areas, giving the venue a lived-in feel that’s more community clubhouse than typical sports facility.
Elsewhere, the new Alserkal Avenue outpost will include an in-house merch shop stocked with Habibi Skate Shop favourites. Expect the essentials: skateboards, T-shirts, headwear, footwear and accessories, all curated with the brand’s familiar point of view. It’s a natural extension of Habibi’s original mission, built on the belief that skate culture is at its best when it’s shared.
Habibi Skate Shop was founded in the UAE by Maysam Faraj. Built on the belief that ‘skateboarding is good, but skating with friends is gooder’, the brand has always positioned itself as a platform for the community, providing quality products at fair prices while nurturing a scene that feels authentic to Dubai.
With Gooder Skateboarding, that ethos is expanding into physical space: part skate park, part café, part retail, and entirely focused on bringing people together.
