Celebrate Chinese New Year at Hakkasan

Hakkasan Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm marks the Year of the Horse with a nine-course set menu and a series of festive touches. Created by Executive Chef Andy Toh, the sharing-style menu puts a refined spin on Chinese New Year symbolism through signature dishes and auspicious ingredients. Highlights include a fortune money bag filled with king crab and scallops, an octopus yusheng salad to toss for good fortune, and Hakkasan’s signature Peking duck. Mains range from red seabream with calamansi soy to Australian wagyu with red peppercorn and pomegranate, plus organic red jasmine rice with abalone and smoke-roasted duck. Dessert is the golden stallion, made exclusively for the occasion, accompanied by a wishing-ribbon ritual. Available from 16 February to 3 March, 6pm to 11pm. AED 738 per person.

Shop until you drop at Global Village

Since opening in 1997, Global Village has grown into a citywide staple, welcoming a record 10.5 million visitors last season. With its culture-rich pavilions, numerous dining options, and daily entertainment, it remains a fun day out. Families can also look forward to The Dragon Kingdom, an immersive quest made up of eleven individually themed rooms. Elsewhere, a brand-new Gardens of the World area showcases exotic blooms and floral replicas of global landmarks. Experience the Asateer Tent

Atlantis, The Palm’s iconic Asateer Tent returns with a sprawling buffet spanning international, Arabesque, Khaleeji, Persian, and Turkish flavours. Hosting up to 1,500 guests per night, the venue offers everything from the Royal Majlis and VIP Majlis areas overlooking the Arabian Sea to booth seating and indoor and outdoor dining tables. Expect Ramadan classics such as Jordanian lamb mansaf and lamb ouzi, alongside a Western carving station. Three Cuts Steakhouse at Rooftop West, Palm Jumeirah Mall, serves a four-course iftar that blends tradition with a modern edge. Begin with the soup of the day and a Wood-Charred Caesar Salad, then choose a main from Beef Stroganoff, Organic Pan-Fried Salmon, or Wood-Charred Chicken Breast. Dessert is designed for sharing, featuring comforting favourites such as Date Pudding and Rice Pudding. Each iftar also includes a mocktail to break the fast. Available daily from sunset to 8pm. Laugh out loud with Jimmy Carr

Jimmy Carr brings his world tour, Laughs Funny, to Dubai Opera, and it’s expected to sell out. One of the most recognisable names in stand-up, Carr began performing in 1997 and has become a mainstay on British television, with appearances across shows including A Comedy Roast and 8 Out of 10 Cats. He has also released multiple Netflix specials, including Funny Business, His Dark Material and Natural Born Killer.

Try the iftar menu at Chôm Chôm

Chôm Chôm’s three-course iftar is designed to comfort while showcasing regional flavours. The experience begins with a Tamarind Soda on arrival, followed by the signature Vietnamese Sweet and Sour Pineapple Prawn Soup. For the main, expect chargrilled Canh Chua featuring grilled barramundi, before finishing with a choice of Condensed Caramel Milk Flan, Pandan Milk Cake or Coconut Gelato. Traditional sides are served alongside, including butter lettuce wraps, pickles, bun vermicelli, Vietnamese herbs and green nuoc cham. Available daily from sunset. AED 175 per person.
