Get your calendars out – exhilarating adventures, brunch and culture await.
Dubai’s summer calendar shows no signs of slowing down, offering a strong mix of dining, culture, nightlife and wellness. Start the week at Shinobi, the city’s new underground handroll bar, before gathering around the table for a Southern Italian supper club at Jou Jou Brasserie. Midweek brings Central American flavours at Girl & the Goose and a floral design masterclass at Mandarin Oriental Downtown. As the weekend arrives, Kyma Beach Dubai hosts after-dark swims, Sexy Fish serves a theatrical Saturday brunch, and Talise Spa at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab offers a serene reset. Here are the best things to do in Dubai this week.
Monday 6 July
Dine at Shinobi

Shinobi is an underground handroll bar that brings together food, music, art, street culture, and craft. Inspired by Tokyo’s precision, New York’s grit and the pulse of the subway, the Al Wasl Road venue filters these influences through a Dubai lens. Inside, neon signs, industrial tiling, brickwork and a subway train seating area set the tone, while a small merch store adds to the urban energy. At the centre, a U-shaped counter lets diners watch chefs prepare premium, made-to-order handrolls prepared with warm rice, crisp nori and premium seafood sourced from around the world. The menu also features nigiri, sashimi, tacos, salads, hot dishes and desserts. Beyond the food, bold interiors, curated playlists and regular DJ sessions shape the atmosphere.

Relax at FACT’s Spa of the Year

Talise Spa at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab feels less like a hotel spa and more like a next-generation wellness destination, which is why it was named FACT’s Spa of the Year in Dubai for 2026. Its uniqueness lies in the scale and sense of privacy, including 13 treatment suites with private terraces, a dedicated female-only floor, a mixed hammam, and a 20-metre indoor pool, all spread across three light-filled levels with sweeping Gulf views. More importantly, it balances high-performance wellness with genuine serenity, creating an experience that feels both progressive and deeply indulgent. In a crowded market, Talise Spa stands apart by making luxury feel quietly innovative.
