Watch a movie at Cinema Akil’s Summer Classics

Lights, camera, summer. Summer Classics has returned to Cinema Akil. Running from 11 to 31 July, the event brings together a selection of timeless films. Grab the popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the fun. This year’s programme features 14 films spanning a century of cinema, from the silent magic of the 1920s to modern-day marvels. On 8 August, it will screen La Haine and The Grand Budapest Hotel.

3Fils is a Dubai institution, but it has recently expanded to Abu Dhabi. The signature dishes are present, but the Abu Dhabi menu brings with it a few exclusives. The Grilled Black Lime Baby Chicken and A5 Wagyu Claypot offer rich new textures. Desserts include the Coconut Raspberry Tart and Vanilla Flan with nitro-snow and edible flowers.

Hop inside the new driverless Robotaxi

The driverless robotaxi is now officially cruising through Abu Dhabi. Robotaxis are operating on Al Reem Island and Al Maryah Island. All you need to do is hail a robotaxi via the Uber app or the TXAI app, just like a regular ride. They are designed to navigate Abu Dhabi’s complex roads – and there’s no one in the driver’s seat.
