Join 30 minutes of activities across 30 days.
On your marks, get set, Dubai. The Dubai Fitness Challenge is returning, inspiring residents and visitors to undertake 30 minutes of physical and well-being activities over 30 days. Running from 1 to 30 November 2025, the ninth edition of the annual event takes place across the city with a range of exciting events.
In 2017, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The event is part of his vision to make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world. The goal is for people to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum explained: “Dubai is a city that recognises the importance of physical, mental and social well-being, and constantly strives to provide everyone opportunities for an active lifestyle. All it takes for you to succeed is an unyielding pledge to enjoy 30 minutes of activity for 30 days. I challenge each and every one of you to embrace your fitness journey and make a difference in your life. Together, let’s make the UAE the most active country in the world.”
The Dubai Fitness Challenge brings together a calendar of free sports, community-led fitness events, and signature events. This year’s Challenge will feature a brand-new flagship event: Dubai Yoga, which will bring the 30-day Challenge to a close with a sunset yoga session on November 30.
Returning favourites include Dubai Ride on 2 November; Dubai Stand-Up Paddle on 8 and 9 November; and the city-wide Dubai Run on 23 November. Each event is crafted to encourage community participation and celebrate active lifestyles.

Last year’s edition saw a record-breaking 2.73 million participants, marking a 14% rise from 2023. Beyond the numbers, the impact was clear: 18% of participants reported improved physical fitness, 15% noted better mental wellbeing, and 14% experienced a boost in self-esteem and a reduction in anxiety.
The highlights include Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, which take participants across the city’s iconic landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road. In 2023, the event attracted 2.4 million participants. Plus, more than 35,000 cyclists in the Dubai Ride, and 226,000 runners in the Dubai Run.
And, judging by previous events, you may even bump into royalty. At the Dubai Run in 2023, the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, joined the 10-kilometre race.
