Layla Kardan’s Contrast Wellness is opening in two new locations

The holistic space is heading to Dubai Creek Harbor and JVC.

UAE-based Layla Kardan, renowned for her soulful singing, boasts a diverse range of talents. Collaborating with her husband, Hamdan Al Khafaji, she has ventured into the realm of wellness with the launch of Contrast Wellness in Dubai. Following successful openings on Palm Jumeirah and City Walk, the dynamic duo is now expanding their wellness empire.

The two new locations will open in May and can be found at Dubai Creek Harbour and Circle Mall in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). Based on previous locations, we can expect a stylish spot featuring a Mediterranean aesthetic, from curved walls to marble features. Plus, a beige, cream, and white colour palette to create a calming space. 

Contrast Wellness aims to revive the mind, body, and spirit. The concept blends innovation and relaxation and focuses on holistic treatments. Expect therapy rooms with a sauna, salt walls, and an immersive ice bath. The saunas are equipped with state-of-the-art features that will make you feel right at home. We’re talking smart televisions, so you can binge on your favourite Netflix show or listen to your favourite Spotify playlist.

Visitors can choose one treatment or combine a sauna and ice bath experience. The treatments use chromotherapy (aka coloured light therapy) to induce a state of zen and include IV drips and massages. Plus, if you can stand the heat, bring a mat and turn it into your own hot yoga studio.

Layla Kardan is best known in the UAE as the founder of the jazz clubs Papillon and Penelope’s Jazz Bar. In 2022, she launched Penelope’s, which brought a touch of the Cote D’Azure to Abu Dhabi. In 2023, she followed it up with Mr Moto and Éla Éla. All three restaurants are located in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi.
