The Hollywood star swaps the screen for the stage on 28 January.
2026 is already stacking up as a standout year for live music across the region, and the latest surprise addition comes with a very familiar face. Jason Momoa is heading back to Dubai, this time not for a film premiere or brand launch, but to perform live with his band, Öof Tatata.
Taking place at The Agenda in Dubai Media City on 28 January, the show will form part of the debut Meili Festival, backed by the actor’s Meile Vodka brand. Expect a night built around music, togetherness, and a festival-style atmosphere, with the winter season setting the scene for an outdoor-leaning, community-first gathering.
So, who is Öof Tatata? The group features Jason Momoa on bass, joined by Mike Hayes on vocals and guitar, and Kenny Dale on drums. While Momoa needs no introduction thanks to blockbuster roles in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, this performance marks his first time bringing his band to the region, giving Dubai audiences a chance to see another side of the multi-hyphenate star.
Momoa’s relationship with the UAE is already well established. He was in Dubai in October to launch Meile Vodka in the Middle East, with the spirit’s debut hosted at Ciel Dubai Marina, Vignette Collection. Speaking exclusively to FACT at the time, he shared his affection for the city and its people, while reflecting on his previous work in the capital. “That was a dream job. I had so much fun doing that,” he grinned. “Every time I come here, the hospitality, the culture, the people – it’s just beautiful. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I told them, ‘Make me the ambassador again!’”
Jason Momoa had also shared, “Every time I come here, I just feel a lot of love,” before looking ahead to what’s next. He is excited for the filming of the third Dune movie and cannot wait. “Though I’ll have to survive the heat first,” he laughed. His admiration extends across the region. “I’ve been coming out here for ten years now,” he recalled. “I’ve gone off-roading in the desert, wandered the markets, and met amazing people. It’s evolved a lot since I first came, but that same warmth is still there.”
Tickets to watch Jason Mamoa live in Dubai with Öof Tatata are now live, with prices starting from AED 220.
