The dining destination will occupy a prime spot close to Burj Khalifa.

Dubai has never been short of dining spots. But now, the emirate’s ever-evolving restaurant scene is about to welcome a knockout addition. UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is all set to open his very own restaurant and cafe, Papakha, in Dubai.

Located in Downtown Dubai, Papakha will offer stunning views of the Burj Khalifa. The spot promises to blend cosy cafe vibes with the elevated energy of a restaurant where you can unwind and enjoy bold flavours.

The name Papakha carries deep meaning. A papakha is a traditional men’s fur or wool hat worn across the Caucasus and Central Asia. It’s a symbol of pride, courage, and honour. You might remember Khabib Nurmagomedov proudly wearing his papakha after every UFC victory, giving a nod to his Dagestani heritage and identity.

While the menu and decor of Papakha haven’t been officially unveiled yet, you can expect a setting that blends modern elegance with rustic touches inspired by Dagestan’s mountain landscapes. For food, you can expect the restaurant to celebrate traditional Dagestani flavours. Here, you’ll indulge in hearty comfort food, and of course, coffee.

Khabib Nurmagomedov

For those unversed, Khabib Nurmagomedov is a retired mixed martial artist from Russia, widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. Known for his undefeated record and disciplined fighting style, he has become a global icon for his athletic achievements and for proudly representing his roots on the world stage. Now, he’s bringing that same pride to his dining venture.

Though the official opening date hasn’t been announced, work on Papakha is already underway. From championing sportsmanship in the UFC to promoting cultural pride through food, Khabib continues to prove that his journey goes far beyond the ring. And now with Papakha, it looks like Dubai’s restaurant scene is all set to get another heavyweight contender.
