Comedy shows are always popping up in Dubai. And this time, the spotlight is shining on Mo Gilligan, who’s heading back to Dubai for a night guaranteed to leave you in stitches. If you’d like to get your hands on tickets, here’s what you need to know.
Taking place on 18 March 2026, Mo Gilligan will be taking over Dubai Opera as part of his The Mo You Know World Tour. Expect quick wit, sharp observations, and a high-energy performance that has turned him into one of the world’s biggest comedic exports.
Mo hails from Lambeth, London. He is of Jamaican and St Lucian descent. After growing up in Camberwell, he attended a performing arts school in Pimlico. He was inspired by the American comedians Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. After he started sharing comedy videos on social media, this led to his first break.
For those unversed, Mo Gilligan is a British stand-up comedian whose journey to global success began in 2017, fueled by years of sharing comedy clips on social media as a hobby. Mo’s initial claim to fame came when he was spotted by the rapper Drake. He later co-hosted the chat show “The Big Narstie Show” and “The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.” With a unique approach to British culture, Mo Gilligan weaves through various comedic genres, including grime comedy, physical comedy, and musical comedy. Anticipate a performance that promises a multifaceted range of humour on the stage.
Mo Gilligan’s debut tour, Coupla Cans, sold out in minutes, and his next one, There’s Mo to Life, played to packed arenas across the UK and Europe. Now, with The Mo You Know, he’s going global, bringing his humour and energy to audiences around the world.
Mo shared on Instagram: “I’m proud to announce my biggest ever World Tour starting in 2026. THE MO YOU KNOW WORLD TOUR is heading right across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UAE, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, and Portugal, as well as a run of UK dates across 2026”.
As for Dubai, this isn’t his first rodeo in the emirate. Mo Gilligan was last here for the Dubai Comedy Festival in 2024, and he’s returning with even bigger jokes this time around.
Tickets to see Mo Gilligan live in Dubai are now on sale, starting at AED 250, with VIP options going up to AED 395. And if Mo Gilligan’s previous tours are anything to go by, they won’t stick around for long.
