Amira Adeeb
Amira is a steadily rising Egyptian treasure, originally starting her artistic journey on screen as a celebrated actress. After releasing her debut single Kart Ma7roo2 in 2024, Amira quickly became a popular and respected musician. Her music is rooted in pop and Arabic hip-hop, interlaced with lyrics that showcase her witty personality. Amira’s top songs include TASBEERA, Kart Ma7roo2, and ELRA7! Amira is a self-proclaimed Palestinian Pop Princess, which seems rather apt once you’ve listened to her music. Based in Chicago, Amira stands out as a distinctive pop voice in the city’s contemporary music scene. She takes inspiration from a combination of 80s and 2000s influences, with flawless vocals and catchy hooks. Her biggest tracks include Still Think ’Bout Me, Hypnotizing, Solitude and more. Bayou
Bayou — inspired by his last name, Bayoumi — sees himself as an Arab global citizen. Egypt-born and US-educated, he’s best known for fusing RnB beats with Egyptian melodies and scales. He cites a wide variety of artists as influences, including Mohamed Mounir, Craig David, Sting, Andrea Bocelli and Frank Ocean. 2000s pop and RnB were the soundtrack to his childhood and college years, paving the way for his music career. Bedouin Burger
Lynn Adib and Zeid Hamdan make up this musical duo, fusing Adib’s jazz and Bedouin music abilities with Hamdan’s renowned Arabic electro-pop production and composition skills. This pairing has single-handedly reshaped the MENA region’s music scene, blending Syrian-Lebanese folk with electronic futurism. This new genre is known as “electro-tarab”, a fusion of maqam, Levantine rhythms and electronica, combined with Arab poetry and synth beats. This UAE-based Somali rapper, singer, music director and record producer has quickly become a key figure in Arabic drill rap and the GCC’s underground music scene. Freek’s music takes inspiration from trap production — hard drums, triplet hi-hats, kicks and snares — while intertwining traditional UAE artistic influences and aesthetics. Freek is anything but one-dimensional, with interests spanning comedy, music and beyond. His biggest hits include Abdi Abdi, DOMI and Nafs Al Shy. This Egyptian singer is often described as the Arab Erykah Badu, drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern hip-hop and Afrofuturism.
