People is a brand-new concept built around celebrating culture, tradition, and the connections we make over food. As the name suggests, it’s designed for gathering, sharing, and feeling right at home.
The space channels a contemporary majlis. A dramatic sunken U-shaped seating arrangement anchors the room, which seats 100 guests. Woven textiles, textured upholstery and custom tables in patterned timber and stone are paired with crimson-stained wood, rattan and teal velvet banquettes. Overhead, soft purple drapery tempers daylight, while bookshelves and lush greenery add warmth and blur the line between restaurant and living space.
Executive Chef Sameer Bhalekar leads the kitchen. With sixteen years of experience across New York, London, Barcelona, the Middle East, and India, and time spent under the guidance of chefs Gordon Ramsay and Thomas Keller, he brings a style that blends Italian craft, Asian precision, and Emirati sensibility. Highlights include Okami Crab Salad (AED 55), Yuzu Burrata with pomelo and candied walnut (AED 58), Wagyu Carpaccio Tostada (AED 132) and the cheekily named “Not a Michelin Cheeseburger.” Sharing plates, such as the Billionaire Wagyu Crispy Rice (AED 62) and Buffalo Maple Shrimp (AED 55), sit alongside Josper-grilled favourites, including the Alaskan King Crab Au Gratin (AED 175) and Australian Lamb Chops (AED 116).
