Set on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s highest mountain, the new luxury mountain retreat is positioned approximately 1,680 metres above sea level. Saij Mountain Lodge is expected to open in Q4 2026, bringing a nature-focused escape to one of the UAE’s most dramatic landscapes.
Designed to feel like part of the mountain rather than compete with it, Saij will feature low-lying architecture, natural materials and buildings carefully positioned around the contours of the terrain. References to ancient tribal life, seasonal nomadism and traditional mountain livelihoods will be woven into the architecture, while communal spaces take cues from the spirit of the Arabian majlis.
The interiors are expected to follow the same understated, earthy aesthetic, with natural materials and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The 70-guest lodges will be spread across the mountainside, with the design focused on panoramic views of rugged peaks, farmland terraces and natural oasis landscapes.
Beyond the lodges, guests can expect an immersive program of Jebel Jais activities, including hiking trails, wellness experiences, meditation, outdoor fitness, heritage activities and creative workshops. Experiences inspired by traditional farming, local crafts and cooking will also offer a closer look at the region’s culture and environment.
