DubaiUAEValentine's Day

Team FACT pick our top spots for Valentine’s Day 2022

With an endless list of glamorous restaurants and fancy hotels to frequent on the most amorous day of the year, team FACT have come to the rescue with our personal picks for memorable ways to spend the 14th of February this year.

SUSHISMABA Dubai

For a memorable Valentine’s date night, look no further than SUSHISAMBA Dubai. The highest restaurant on Palm Jumeirah ticks all of the boxes when it comes to an unforgettable night out – 360-degree views, beguiling beverages, an infectious vibe and a funky fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. Secure a window seat to really impress your nearest and dearest but don’t miss out on the BAHIA SAMBA Rolls, that is, if you can get a reservation at Dubai’s hottest dining destination David Tapley, Editor-in-Chief.

Sonara Camp

Regardless of the special occasion, my first criteria is escaping the chaos of the city (even if it’s just for the evening) so I swear by Sonara Camp. Great food, eco-friendly practices, a beautifully rustic setting, stargazing with an astronomer, and miles and miles of untouched nature – it ticks all the boxes. And if you’re up for a little bumpy fun, opt for the 30-minute camel ride to the camp. After all, you’re in their territory, so embrace it Samia Qaiyum, Contributing Writer.

Miss Lily’s Dubai

Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year, so it would be rude not to get glammed up and catch a vibe at Miss Lily’s. For somewhere guaranteed to be lively, gather the girls for a Galentine’s night-out and indulge in Chef Richie’s curry goat stew, jerk chicken roti or vegan burgers – ladies FYI, the portions are generous (if that helps with your outfit choice). Throw in a Champion Bubbler amongst the great drinks selection and believe DJ Crown Prince has you covered on the music front. Sitting still will be a struggle Hayley Alexander, Contributing Writer

Alici

Valentines Day invites a sense of occasion and, for me, Valentines Day is all about her. My wife loves Italian food and Alici Dubai is our favourite: a touch of Amalfi in Bluewaters. You want a terrace table upstairs, trust me. Arrive at sunset to witness the JBR’s sandstone skyline transform magnificently from peach to pink and purple as Ain Dubai turns above you. Kick off the occasion with one of the Crudo Towers: oysters, scallops and prawns while sipping an Alici Spritz or a north Italian sparkling. The salt-crusted seabass to share is cracked and filleted tableside. Dive into sublime fresh pasta like, my favourite, the sea urchin and amberjack tartare spaghetti or the homemade garganelli with a gutsy lamb ragu and pecorino. Finish light and bright with the impossibly-fluffy lemon mousse and a chilled limoncello Liam Collens, Contributing Writer.

KNOX

Valentine’s calls for couples to spend some extra time together, but what is there to do for the singletons amongst us? Watch a movie by yourself on the couch? Eat a meal alone? For those looking for a cheeky night of fun, beautiful people and delicious drinks, this underground bar at Andaz Dubai The Palm is the place to be on Valentine’s Day. KNOX will be offering complimentary welcome drinks and an entertaining MC to guide a super fun speed dating event this Valentine’s Day – Nicolas Rey, Sales Operations Manager.

Cipriani Yas Island

When it comes to love, Italians definitely know how to do it best… So, if you want an exquisite Italian experience, I would recommend an evening on the terrace at Cipriani Yas Island. The burrata will make your amore fall head over heels and the Wagyu rib-eye steak is sure to make it a night to remember. And if your other half has a sweet tooth, don’t leave before sampling their signature Vanilla Meringue. “That’s Amore” – Chiara Glorioso, Senior Sales Manager.
