Dubai Bling Interview: Ebraheem Al Samadi

As the reactions to episode one of the hit Netflix show roll in, we catch up with one of Dubai Bling’s biggest stars.

As Netflix’s new reality TV show Dubai Bling is the talk of the town, we talked directly to its stars. Ebraheem Al Samadi has joined the stellar cast, and chatted to us about everything from his businesses to bling.

While most of us were probably at school at the age of 14, Ebraheem was running his own successful business. The Kuwaiti-American is the owner of Forever Rose and Forever Rose Café, which supplies the world’s longest-lasting roses – we’re talking years, people. Known for his blunt honesty, we expect this won’t be rosy TV.

Tell us about yourself.

I am the owner and founder of Forever Rose London, Forever Rose Café and Forever Oud. I have been a businessman since the age of fourteen. I love my business from the bottom of my heart and I take care of my mother.

Why did you come to Dubai?

I came to Dubai for a challenge. I had my business in America and I didn’t feel challenged. I knew that Dubai was an up-and-coming market. I loved the fact that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum had a vision to reshape the country and the Middle East, and I wanted to be part of the Dubai success story.

What’s the most bling thing you’ve done in Dubai?

The most bling that I’ve done in Dubai is that I had a huge luxury experience at Burj Al Arab. I stayed in the royal suite, which was absolutely breathtaking and I felt like I was on top of the world. Everything about it is absolute bling, I think it’s the most bling hotel in the world.

What was the best part of filming?

The best part of filming is that I got a friend out of it. I am always going to be loyal to Netflix. It’s the mother that gave birth to the fellow Dubai Bling star Diva Dee. Because of Netflix we met – she’s like another sister and a sister that my mum never had.

Why should people watch the show?

People should watch the show because it’s definitely entertaining. You get to see nice glimpses of Dubai. Everything that was filmed was actually filmed by the production team. Nothing was stock footage. They did helicopter shots, drone shots. We were on yachts and private planes. If you ever want to know what the luxury life of Dubai is like, you can definitely find it in the show.

A sucker for a good story, if you invite Kohinoor to a gallery, comedy night, new restaurant, hiking trip, cycle ride, pool day or just about any activity, she’ll probably say yes – that is if she isn’t busy planning her next adventure.
