adidas creates a pair of Dubai sneakers – and here’s how to buy them

adidas x Goodbye Old Jumeirah is available in Dubai Mall for three weeks.

Sneaker fans, we have some stylish news. adidas has dropped limited-edition Dubai-inspired shoes. The sports brand has partnered with Goodbye Old Jumeirah and created Samba sneakers. So, if you want to get your hands – or should we say feet – on a pair, the adidas x Goodbye Old Jumeirah collection drops on 23 April and here’s how to get a hold of them.

Goodbye Old Jumeirah is an Instagram account, which celebrates the district in Dubai. The account may only have 5,800 followers, but it is has made its mark sharing images of old homes. The photos range from stacked up boats to ornate gates.

adidas x Goodbye Old Jumeirah is available in Dubai Mall for three weeks. A complimentary customisation is available when purchasing a Gazelle, Handball or Samba. It’s not just about the collection, as there is also a special exhibition that shares photographs of the shoes across the Jumeirah community. The images highlight how the shoe and the scenes are classics.

adidas has also celebrated the timeless nature of the shoes in a new campaign video, 1000 Back. Shot by Saudi Arabia’s Chdy, it showcases the shoes on the streets of Riyadh. Plus, it includes DJ Shaolin, Dorar, Moe Bajbaa of Proud Angeles.

adidas Sambas have been seen on the soles of everyone from Bella Hadid to Harry Styles. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently made the headlines, as he was seen wearing them in 10 Downing Street.

adidas is famous for dropping cool collaborations. In 2023, it collaborated with the singer Pharrell Williams’ fashion line, Humanrace; Wales Bonner in a collection that celebrates Jamaica; and luxury fashion labels, from Gucci to Prada.

adidas x Goodbye Old Jumeirah is available now.
