Perched on the shores of the upmarket Pearl Jumeira lies a beautiful beachfront retreat anchored around music, destination dining and some of the most impressive accommodations in a city with a reputation for lavish hotels.

Greeted with beaming smiles, we’re ushered into the serene lobby, where twisted pillars and comfortable seating encourage guests to linger while taking in the ocean vistas. The signature Nikki Beach scent wafts through the communal space, immediately enrapturing the senses and working as the perfect complement to the friendly and efficient check-in.

Chic sleeps

During our weekend stay at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai, we had the pleasure of checking into a One Bedroom Beach Villa. The villa, situated away from the main resort building, is ideal for privacy amidst luxe surroundings. Anchored around a stunning beachfront sun deck replete with loungers, a day bed and a temperature-controlled swimming pool leading out to the shoreline, it’s the very definition of beach chic.

Designed in the Nikki Beach palette of startling whites and pops of brilliant blue, the spacious villa offers everything you could want from a relaxing stay. Entering the living room, we’re met with a space characterised by high ceilings, soft furnishings and a large wooden dining table that stretches the room’s length. Shelving filled with mirrors and trinkets line the walls while neatly holding the minibar. Yet being Nikki Beach, a concept anchored around music, its freestanding Bluetooth speaker emanating pulsating hypnotic beats garners the most attention.

In the bedroom, a plush king-sized bed is strategically positioned to offer the best pool and beach views, meaning you can wake up feeling invigorated and inspired. Plush rugs, a large television and plenty of lighting add to the comfort levels. 

The bathroom is simple yet stylish. A walk-in closet lies off to one side, while a double vanity, a freestanding bathtub (ideal for soaking) and a walk-in rainfall shower mean that guests can experience spa-style levels of pampering without leaving the villa. Elsewhere, a small garden gives the impression of bringing the outside in.

Beachfront Dining

The beach resort offers several dining destinations ideal for those looking to flop at the beach. In addition to the newly opened Bungalo34, Café Nikki is a FACT favourite for al fresco dining thanks to its stellar sushi selection and more than capable cocktails. However, the Smoked Burrata, Caviar-topped Toro Nigiri and Citrus Splashed Salmon captured our interest on this occasion. That and the fully laden breakfast spread, where perfectly laminated croissants and paper-thin crêpes are made all the more appealing by the tranquil poolside setting.

At Soul Lounge, guests are encouraged to linger over sundowners and shisha while taking in the ocean views as palm trees sway overhead. For something a little livelier, Chef Kavish Chimajee has been working wonders with his seafood selection over at the pumping beach club, which is accessible to all hotel guests.

Embrace island life

Offshore island Pearl Jumeira offers possibly the best beach in Dubai. Palm trees and cabanas flank the quiet stretch of golden sand, and there is space for secluded sunning. While the beach is the main draw, Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai’s swimming pools shouldn’t be overlooked. The resort’s family pool offers in-water-loungers and thermal jets. While the adjacent beach club provides live performances, top DJs, Champagne showers and the Celebration Suite – the largest hotel suite in Dubai. 

The onsite health club comes equipped with the latest technology, and Nikki Spa features specially appointed spa suites in addition to a hammam, sauna, steam room, ice fountain, and vitality pool.

For those looking to venture a little further, Beach Road lies on your doorstep. Here guests can enjoy family fun at La Mer, retail therapy at BoxPark and some of Dubai’s best dining at Dar Wasl or Wasl 51. However, our advice would be to soak up the sun in the resort, hit the beach and have dinner with your toes in the sand.
