A Nobu hotel is under construction in Ras Al Khaimah

The hospitality brand from chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro is expanding into the Northern Emirates.

Nobu Hospitality has partnered with Enevoria Development to construct a beachfront hotel, restaurant, and residential complex on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.

The 70,000 sqm complex will be built on a recently acquired beachfront plot and is expected to feature a Nobu Hotel, 300 luxury residences branded by Nobu, a spa, a fitness centre, swimming pools, and the first Nobu restaurant in the emirate. A completion date has not yet been announced.

“With the arrival of Nobu Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah now joins an elite group of cities worldwide to put on display the power of Japanese minimalism, exceptional hospitality, and world-class dining the brand is renowned for. Set in the heart of our iconic flagship island, the opening of Nobu reinforces Ras Al Khaimah’s credentials as a high-growth destination for international and regional investors,” said Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan.

Nobu Al Marjan Island will be the second Nobu hotel to open in the UAE, following the November announcement that a Nobu-branded hotel and residences will open on Sadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi in 2026.

The five-star hotel will feature 165 luxurious guest rooms and suites, including a Nobu Villa on the rooftop. The hotel will offer a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre, swimming pools, the first Nobu restaurant in Abu Dhabi, and direct access to Mamsha Beach. The property is also expected to be home to the UAE’s second Nobu by the Beach, following the debut of the world’s first Nobu-branded beach club at Atlantis The Royal earlier this year.

The upscale hotel will add to Marjan Island’s growing collection of world-class beachfront hospitality destinations, attracting tourists from around the globe. The hook-shaped island is already home to several popular resorts, including Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan IslandRadisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan IslandRixos Bab Al Bahr, and the world’s largest Hampton by Hilton. In 2026 Wynn Resorts will open, marking the Las Vegas-based hotel and casino operator’s first foray into the region.
