Chic Nonna Restaurant & Lounge brings Italian charm to Dubai
The venue boasts one of the region’s biggest wine cellars.
Top-quality food never goes out of fashion, especially when it ranges from classic pastas to pizzas. So, we are excited to hear that Chic Nonna Restaurant & Lounge is now open, and bringing fine Italian food to Dubai’s DIFC.
Chic Nonna Restaurant & Lounge includes a restaurant, lounge and bar, plus an open-plan kitchen and chef’s table. The lounge is in a prime spot for Insta-worthy views, as it overlooks the Dubai skyline and the Burj Khalifa.
The décor is oh-so-chic (obviously), as it has been designed by LW Interiors Design and Eric Kuster’s Metropolitan Luxury Chic. The space ticks all the upscale boxes: high ceilings, big bouquets, marble floors, lit-up fireplaces, emerald sofas and crystal chandeliers. Plus, it even has a Roman-style statue thrown in for good measure.
We love nonnas here at FACT. If you’re not down with your Italian lingo, they are grandmothers. Chic nonnas are clearly having a moment – take one look at #coastalgrandmother on TikTok and you’ll know what we mean. Chic Nonna Restaurant & Lounge draws on that homemade nonna-style cooking and gourmet techniques to create a timeless dining experience.
You know you are in safe hands, as Vito Mollica previously headed up the Michelin starred Il Palagio in Four Seasons Florence before coming to Chic Nonna Restaurant & Lounge. So, sit back and let Vito, the group culinary director and executive chef, show off his foodie flair. He draws on the original flavours of fresh ingredients, and combines Italian tradition with an international twist.
The new Italian concept comes to Dubai from Mine Lifestyle Dining by Mine & Yours Group. Piero Giglio, managing partner and director of the group, said: “To have the talents of Chef Vito at the helm of Chic Nonna is an incredible opportunity to witness true Italian culinary craftsmanship at its best. I am confident his experience, creativity and passion for flavour and hospitality will undoubtedly position Chic Nonna as a true dining destination to experience a traditional taste of Italy with a contemporary charm.”
Wine lovers don’t have to travel the world to find their perfect grape, as the venue is home to one of the region’s biggest grape cellars – it’s capable of holding more than 3,000 bottles, to be precise. To give you some idea of the scale, it has five landing floors as well as bottles from Italy and beyond.
Grazie, Chic Nonna.
