Vienna’s finest now resides in JBR

Italian dining concept Via Toledo has opened an outpost at Address Beach Resort.

To declare that it will “disrupt the way we see Italian dining” is a bold claim, but Via Toledo is up to the challenge. Now open at Address Beach Resort in JBR, the dining concept hails from the cosmopolitan city of Vienna – that’s Austria, not Italy – bringing with it what it does best.

Via Toledo is famed for its array of Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian wines, both of which are on the menu of the new location. It is the brainchild of chef and pizza expert Francesco Calo, who wanted to give his guests a true Italian dining experience inspired by the excellence of the original Neapolitan pizza. The pizzas are made using a unique blend of flours specially created by him to ensure digestibility and lightness, all enhanced by sublime toppings ranging from beluga caviar to alba white truffle and even 24K gold.

The flour, which has aptly been named ‘Intensa’ for its singular flavour, consciously embraces the wind of gastronomic innovation and is exclusive to Via Toledo. Also on the menu? A recommended wine pairing from the venue’s expertly curated selection of fine wines for each item. The sommeliers and chefs at Via Toledo have carefully designed the menu to create an unrivalled dining experience – and diners have noticed. The restaurant won ‘Best Italian Pizza Chef in the World’ in 2019, followed by ‘Best Pizza in Austria’ in the prestigious Italian ranking of 50 Top Pizza in 2020 and 2021.
