Luxury hotel brand The Chedi is opening in Trojena

The hotel will join 25hours and Morgans Original in the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia.

Neom is the megaproject that keeps on giving. The supercity is welcoming the world’s largest floating industrial complex, a luxurious island retreat, and mountain destination Trojena.

The latest hotel announcement for Trojena comes from General Hotel Management Ltd (GHM) and NEOM Hotel Development, who will open The Chedi Trojena as a perennial mountain destination and host venue for the Asian Winter Games 2029.

Nestled within the Slope Residences in the mountain enclave, The Chedi Trojena will form an integral part of the residential village that is divided into six distinctive clusters: Gateway, Discover, Valley, Explore, Relax, and Fun. The hotel will be located in the Relax Cluster and serve as a sanctuary for reflection, recreation, and rejuvenation. 

The Chedi Trojena’s design is said to be influenced by the rich history of Saudi Arabia whilst also incorporating futuristic elements to complement its awe-inspiring location. Guided by six branded essences: timeless, elegant, personal, contemporary, authentic, and sensorial, the hotel will blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Here, guests can expect a wide range of experiences from sports and adventure to restorative and meditative activities, all with uninterrupted views of the freshwater lake.

What is Trojena?

Part of the Neom megaproject, construction of the Trojena development began in December 2022 and is set to be completed in 2026. This mountain destination has ambitious goals of becoming a world-class tourism and recreation hub, offering experiences previously unavailable in the Gulf countries. Located 50km from the Gulf of Aqaba. Trojena will offer year-round outdoor skiing, adventure sports and a folded village fusing technology, entertainment and hospitality.

Torjena’s other hotels 

Ennismore hotels will also open two hotels in Trojena, which include 25hours and Morgans Original. So far, we know that the 25hours in Neom will have an in-house cinema, farm-to-table restaurant, bike workshop, co-working space and a rooftop restaurant with a pool. 

The Morgans Original Neom hotel will feature world-class dining outlets, a 2,000-metre spa and bathhouse, immersive art exhibitions and a rooftop bar overlooking the mountains. Plus, the venue will include microclimates, which will be a welcome addition in a ski resort.

Other projects at Neom include Oxagon, Sindalah, and The Line. Oxagon aims to be the world’s largest floating industrial complex, while Sindalah will be a luxurious island retreat home to hotels, shops and restaurants. The Line aims to be a 170km-long residential complex with zero cars, zero streets and zero carbon emissions. Neom is part of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince’s Saudi Vision 2030.
