Riyadh Air is expanding its regional network with the launch of a new passenger service between Dubai and Riyadh. The route marks another important step for Saudi Arabia’s newest national carrier, strengthening links between two of the GCC’s busiest business and leisure destinations.

The new service will begin on Thursday, 18 June, connecting Dubai International Airport (DXB) with King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh. Riyadh Air will initially operate three weekly flights on the route, with plans to increase the frequency to daily services depending on demand.

Flight timings have been arranged with both business and leisure travellers in mind. Departures from Riyadh are scheduled for 2.05pm, while return services from Dubai will leave at 6.30pm. The schedule gives passengers a practical option for short stays, meetings, weekend breaks and onward travel through the Saudi capital.

Cabin

Introductory fares on the Dubai to Riyadh route start from AED 870, equivalent to SAR 887, for Lite fares. At the top end, Premium Business Class return tickets can reach up to AED 17,730, depending on the cabin, fare type and flexibility selected. The pricing places Riyadh Air within one of the region’s most competitive air corridors, where demand continues to grow across corporate travel, tourism and family visits.

The Dubai launch follows a series of major milestones for Riyadh Air. The airline recently announced the arrival of its first custom-built Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, signalling the next stage in its fleet expansion and long-haul ambitions. The aircraft will play a central role in the airline’s plans to connect Riyadh with major cities across the world.

On the ground, Riyadh Air has also introduced its Hafawa Lounge at King Khalid International Airport. Located between Terminals 1 and 2, the lounge spans 2,000 square metres and can accommodate 370 guests. Designed for different styles of travel, the space includes quiet areas for rest, sociable settings for work and pre-flight meetings, and private zones for families.

The airline’s expansion also includes flights to London, which serve as a flagship long-haul route. Together with the new Dubai service, the move supports Riyadh’s ambition to become a major global aviation hub, linking Saudi Arabia with Europe, the Middle East and beyond.

For travellers in the UAE, the new Riyadh Air flights from Dubai to Riyadh offer another way to reach the Saudi capital, whether for business, culture, dining, or a weekend escape.
