The hotel is home to 240 rooms and destination dining.
The Red Sea is one of Saudi Arabia’s marvellous megaprojects. The development is welcoming world-class hotels and dazzling developments. Now, The Red Sea EDITION has announced its official opening.
Set along the white sand shores of Shura Island, The Red Sea EDITION marks the brand’s second opening in Saudi Arabia after its category-defining debut in Jeddah. As the first hotel to launch on the pristine island, the resort stretches along a kilometre of private beach with uninterrupted views over turquoise waters and the lush fairways of Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first 18-hole island golf course.

Arrival begins at Red Sea International Airport, followed by a scenic desert drive over Saudi Arabia’s longest internal bridge to Shura Island. A palm-lined approach reveals a series of low stone and timber pavilions set directly on the beach. Inside, the lobby acts as the social heart, with floor-to-ceiling glazing and open doorways that draw in the sea breeze. Rammed earth and natural oak recall the drama of desert canyons, softened by woven textiles, abundant greenery and a statement ceramic chandelier that appears to hover in mid-air.
Rockwell Group leads the architecture and interiors, crafting immersive spaces where rock, sand and sea are in constant conversation. Earth walls, coral stone floors, natural oak and tactile fabrics echo canyons, reefs and wind-carved dunes. Pavilion rooftops take cues from coral formations, while seamless indoor to outdoor transitions frame Red Sea vistas and golf course greens.

The hotel offers 240 elegant guest rooms, including 53 one and two-bedroom suites. Amenities include outdoor pools, a spa and gym, lounges, sea and pool front dining, and signature restaurants. The culinary programme draws on global traditions and local influences with a wellness-forward outlook. Menus favour seasonal produce, clean preparations and functional beverages designed to support clarity and vitality. Each venue doubles as a social hub with live performances and curated gatherings.
“The Red Sea EDITION represents a major milestone for the destination as it marks the launch of Shura Island, which is the cornerstone development of The Red Sea. We are poised to redefine luxury hospitality in the region through world-class facilities and the distinctive EDITION style and sophistication in our service offering. We are incredibly proud to have this honour of being the first official opening on the island and look forward to building on our unique luxury lifestyle heritage that is synonymous with the EDITION brand globally,” says Tony Coveney, Area General Manager for Marriott Luxury Group, The Red Sea.

The Red Sea EDITION looks set to have a sleek design, which complements the serene surroundings. The site will boast an understated elegance as it sits among the soft sands and gorgeous greenery.
