  • The concept is dedicated entirely to wagyu beef

Sutēki combines wagyu, Japanese whisky and art-house interiors in a waterfront setting.

Dubai’s dining scene continues to evolve, and the latest opening at Dubai Harbour is putting wagyu beef firmly in the spotlight. Sutēki will open its doors at Harbour House on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, bringing a new concept from AlphaMind Group to the waterfront destination.

Described as a wagyu room with an art-house point of view, Sutēki takes its cues from Tokyo’s contemporary dining culture, combining precision, restraint and creativity with Dubai’s appetite for high-impact hospitality.

The menu is dedicated entirely to wagyu beef, exploring the ingredient through a focused selection of dishes that range from raw preparations to grilled signatures and reinterpretations. The approach is deliberately edited, allowing the kitchen to showcase the versatility of the meat while maintaining the confidence and discipline associated with modern Tokyo cooking.

Drinks are also a key part of the experience. Sutēki’s beverage programme includes more than 20 Japanese whiskies, alongside a considered selection of wine and sake. The cocktail menu follows a more minimalist direction, using Japanese ingredients and clean flavours to complement the food without overwhelming it.

Inside, the restaurant has been created with the atmosphere of a gallery and the ease of a supper club. Low lighting, warm wood and eclectic design details set the tone, while shades of red and orange add energy to the room. Art lines the walls, contributing to the venue’s identity without feeling overworked. Beyond the interiors, views across Dubai Harbour offer a calmer contrast to the moody setting inside.

Sutēki Dubai

“Sutēki isn’t about adding another restaurant to the city. It’s about creating a space with a clear point of view, where wagyu is the hero, and the evening is built around an experience rather than just a meal,” shares Tony Habre, CEO of AlphaMind.

Sutēki joins AlphaMind’s growing line-up at Dubai Harbour, which already includes Bar du Port, Café du Port, Iris and Son of a Fish. With its focus on wagyu, Japanese whisky and curated design, the new arrival adds a more intimate and ingredient-led experience to the group’s waterfront portfolio.
